Finding myself very bitter at co-workers
posted 9th Jan
Right now I and the manager are the only ones who live and support oursevles. This week I pulled extra shifts to get a tattoo I've been wanting but after budgeting I really really doubt I'll get it.
One of my co-workers is a army wife, she work not because she has to but wants too. I've tried to walk away from money convo or hide her post on facebook but I still have to deal with them. It is making me very bitter at her! I just can't figure out how to stop myself to see her with envy.
Wwyd?

Hey you live near me!
I know it's hard sometimes, but you shouldn't envy anyone for any reason. Be happy with what life's given you and think positive thoughts. If you think neg, neg things will come.
Be well.

Just remind yourself that money isn't everything.
I'm a 22-year-old widow, single mother of an almost 4-year-old. I barely get paid more than minimum wage, and rarely have extra money. I work in a university town, and I'm the only parent that works there. 80% of my coworkers have everything (tuition, rent, etc) paid for by their parents, and work so they have extra "party money". All I hear about is how they're out traveling around, partying every weekend, blowing loads of money on stupid smurf, etc. Was pretty annoying when I first started working there, until I realized that even though I'm broke as smurf, I'm pretty damn happy--and I have an adorable child at home who loves me unconditionally, which is more than most of my coworkers could ever say.
