They don't have to CARE about your sick baby. They don't have to. Some apartments have thin walls. I go outside to smoke at like 4 am, and can STILL hear my TV in the hallway. I'm obviously not blasting it, but I am watching it and have it high enough to hear. I've never had people come knock on my door and tell me to turn it down   I'd laugh in their face. I'm not about to walk on pin needles. I'm sure those guys have their music up a bit, just hanging out. Not intentionally doing it to piss anyone off. And like someone else said, you're lucky they didn't turn it up as soon as you left. I would've. -shrug-

I UNDERSTAND THAT AND THAT'S WHY I HAVE NEVER SAID ANYTHING BEFORE. We have had two sets of neighbors and never heard much.

It is really just a lack of respect. Obviously things will be heard, especially in some apartments with thinner walls and what not. I can hear my neighbords kids running and walking like a stampeded but I understand that is what kids do. I am not about to tell them to make their kids stop walking or to stop vacuuming because I can hear it. There is a huge difference between that and playing your music overly loud. And turning the music up louder because she asked nicely if they could turn it down? Suuuuuper mature. It isn't like she went up their demanding smurf, she asked nicely if they could turn it down.

She already pretty much told me i was one so why not?

I didn't have anyone living below or next to my apartment. Then people moved in below and I swear it seemed like they were prostitutes. We heard sex every night and it was different dudes every night. I preferred not having neighbors. Also, they had several young kids who would show up. They were weird.
