Is it normal?

posted 9th Jan
Everytime I have had an ultrasound this pregnancy my sons hand/arm has been across his face. The first few ultrasounds I thought it was cute, but now I'm making myself paranoid that there could be something wrong with him because his arm has been this way EVERY time.

I'm probably just being a worry wart but it just seems odd to me.

Thanks in advance!

He just likes his hands

My son did it A lOT and took a lot to be able to get a picture of his face. Lots of poking and pushing haha

same with my son. when he was born his hand was on his face. this made it 10x harder to push him out. his head ended up getting squished in the birth canal and i almost had to get cut or get a c-section   he also had a huge purple bump on his head which resulted in slight jaunduce.

Thanks ladies! I feel better a bit better now.

Unfortunately it is hard to get good face shots but luckily we have gotten a few.

Did either of you have complicated births because of it? My sister was born with her arm wrapped around the top of her head and my moms doctors all said it was like giving birth to a 12 lb baby! I do not want that to happen!! Ouch!

Oh man that's terrible! I really hope that doesn't happen to me.

I'm pretty sure I was reading something that that's a standard fetus and infant reflex. It even had a name but I don't remember what.
