I've had all mine!

My son is 5weeks old. I personally don't ever wanna chance it. It sounds dangerous to me... why take the risk? How many people out there have been vaccinated and have had nothing go wrong? So if you had all yours, why not have your kid get theirs as well?

I honestly hadn't heard of people not getting their kids vaccinated before! Cause like I said, I've never met anyone who hasn't had all of their vaccines. I don't live under a rock, or even a small class. I graduated with about 600+ people 2010, class after mine 2011 had like 700 (that's the class my bf is in). I can tell you just about everyone in my class, a lot of ppl in the class above mine 2009 and below mine. And I don't know any one who hasn't had theirs. (In middle school just about everyone shared their stories about it and how most of everyone hates needles and getting shots.)

The vaccines don't always work. I've been immunised against rubella over 6 times and have 0 immunity.

In the States there are exemption forms.

I said that the article about vaccines causing autism caused the chain reaction of parents starting to question what was in the vaccines. Up until then, it wasn't as ..well known? Common? that people had alternatives as far as vaccines went.

There are probably lots of people who are not fully or up to date on them. However it's a newer trend so it's mostly kids who don't have them as opposed to your Agee group.

MIL had a flu shot and developed an autoimmune disease triggered by the chemicals in that shot. She now has to take chemotherapy tablets.

There are harmful chemicals in the majority of foods that we eat. Unless you eat only vegetables and fruits you grow yourself from a plot of untouched soil, you ingest chemicals every day. Our bodies are well equipped to filter through them. Sometimes with vaccines, there is a bad reaction when a child's body is allergic to a chemical or can't "fight it off." Does that mean vaccines are, as a whole, dangerous? I don't believe so. You take that risk for the greater health of your child. You could also keep them away from peanut products all their life for fear of an allergic reaction too.

Are you aware that in vaccinating it can also be UNneccesary and DEADLY in that case as well? Vaccines can have side effects, including death. As far as reactions being rare, no they really arent that rare.In the swing of things they are, but they still happen way too often for my own comfort level. Some are far more mild than others but it happens every day. I recommend you take a look at the VAERS (vaccine adverse event reporting system) and read through it. I don't consider reactions "rare" enough. This link is just 2012. Again, some are mild, some are not. No reaction is worth it to me. You don't get to pick what kind of reaction your child has. Some get localized swelling, sometimes their throat can close up and they can die. Its a toss up.

Unless you slaughter your own or watch it on a farm it's fed chemicals.

I can definitely agree with that part. I just didn't want it to seem that everyone jumped in like a fad. Most people I've met who do not have done a lot of researching beforehand. Its very popular not to around here.

Exactly my point! Vaccines don't make you immune, they only give you a higher defense in MOST cases. Nothing will make you completely immune, it's silly and misguided to think they will.

And people could have a major reaction to a vaccine causing them to die. What's the point in taking that risk if you don't want/have to?

Oh and btw I do vaccinate my kids on a delayed schedule. We do a max of 2 at a time.

Right? Never expose your child to any germs and see how fast they get sick in school.
