It's a growing trend. Some people are doing it for legit reasons(they've researched it) but lots of people are hopping on the bandwagon.

This is nothing new.

Some people have VERY strong views on vaccination.
Actually, a lot of people on this site don't vaccinate at all and others selectively vaccinate. I'm honestly shocked that you have a child and are blindly letting him/her be vaccinated.

The big issue with vaccines is primarily that study that came out a few years ago that linked autism and vaccines. The article was disproved, but parents started questioning what exactly was in the shots ... and the damage was done. Some parents are choosing not to vaccine because of possible long term side effects (which are rare). Some people can get a waiver for religious reasons. Some people are spacing out the vaccines more.

With all of that said, I would never not get my kids vaccinated either, but constitutionally, the government can't force a bunch of people to take drugs they're not comfortable taking.

Lots of people don't, we do and I'm pretty happy with that.

I waited until my son was 3 to vaccinate...and I'm probably not gonna vaccinate my other 2 at all.

I definitely agree with this.

Aw, come on guys. Some people honestly know nothing about kids until they have one. No one ever tells you this stuff. Never once before I got pregnant did ANYONE ever talk to me about vaccines, circumcision, etc. If you aren't around kids, there are some things that don't come up.

Don't be too hard on her. I didn't know people didn't vaccinate their kids until I came to baby Gaga. It's just that everyone I know vaccinate their kids. The only people I know that don't are the ones here on Baby Gaga. I vaccinate of course.

For something that is necessary and possibly deadly, then maybe...

I didn't really know people didn't have their children vaccinated. I don't know anyone who hasn't gotten all their vaccinations.
