So, since we have this TGT thread... I have some questions...

DD is getting ready to turn one on the 21st this month. We're not really having a huge party or anything, just some family over, cake and ice cream and a few presents.

How did you ladies celebrate your DD's first birthday?
What was your theme, if any?
What kind of foods did you have for guests?

And what on Earth do you get a one year old that already has everything they need?

DD's theme is going to be HK/Rainbows. We're having 2 cakes, one is the smash cake. And I'm thinking just a veggie and fruit tray for any guests. And then sometime this month we're having her photos done.

DD's first birthday theme was Abby Caddaby from Sesame Street. We didn't do anything too fancy. I rented a small building (since at the time we lived in NC and we had the party in our hometown in OH) and had shredded chicken sandwiches, potato salad, chips, drinks, and a fruit and veggie tray. I made cupcakes and put them in the shape of a one for the guests and made DD a rainbow smash cake. I bought DD a little tutu outfit to wear.

Her Birthday as in the spring. We just had a little cookout at the park. I got her a small blowup pool. I had two cakes as well.

i get on fb more. but not too much i hardly go to town which is the only place im able to get on.

We didn't have a party for DD just cake and some family over. We had little snacks like chips and veggies. She had a blast with her smash cake, opened her presents, and hung out like any other day. We actually forgot to give her present to her   but other people got her clothes, food, more practical stuff. A savings account is always a good gift that she'll appreciate later on.

We lived out of state so we just invites our friends with kids to chuck e cheeses. It was fun and small. We didn't Hve time to open gifts since DDs attention span have out and she as distracted by all the excitement. We also had a regular cake and a smash cake. She liked rubber duckies so I just put some duckies on her cake haha. That's about all the theme we got

We just had a smallish party with family and friends. DH grilled hot dogs and burgers. We also had chips, soda, and juice. DD had her smash cake and everyone else had cupcakes. There was no real theme, and we never got professional pictures done. She has plenty of regular pictures!

When DD doesn't need anything, I push for books or bigger clothes. Or occasionally DVDs (Preferably somewhat educational. Lol.). I had to do that at Christmas. DD has a room full of toys and a ton of clothes that fit. You can never have too many books, and she will grow into the clothes.

For my oldest birthday we did a princess theme, we bought her a power wheels and a blow up tent with balls in it. We also spent $200 on pictures. As for food, we just had cake and ice cream and it was just for families.


For my youngest daughters birthday we did a tinkerbelle theme. I don't even remember what we bought her, it was some elephant type of ball shooter thing and some other things, I can't remember and we spent $100 on her pictures.
