no women birth have birthed in the ocean for thousands of years... baby doesnt breathe it in... check out this one.. i was like.. PULL THAT BABY OUT OF THE WATER lol even though they can "breathe" through the cord still but still, and babies dont usually take breaths until their face hits air.. so thats why they dont breathe in the water..
