I get $600 - $800 a month for 2 Children

£789 ($1272) For one child.

Im supposed to be getting 866/mo for one child. But he hasn't paid anything and owes over 14,000 right now. He owns his own piano store/business and makes a lot. But won't pay anything.

Wow, how bad does it have to get before a warrant is issued? In my state it's as soon as you get above $5000 in arrears.

I don't know... I figured by now... Nothing has happened as of yet, except that it is affecting his credit score. That's all he's complained to me about. I am just
hoping something happens. We live in two different states so it's harder to collect anything from him and hes not on payroll so they cant automatically deduct it from his check. He IS his employer :/

Is there a Friend of the Court in the state in which your custody agreement is filed?

No, there isn't. I live in Cali now, Cali won jurisdiction over Texas in court and we opened up the child support case here. I did have an attorney, but paying 450/hr was breaking me! So Im at a standstill right now and just working with the local child support office. Super frustrating! They have the court orders but Texas isn't doing anything, I'd have to go to court there and so forth.

i live in cali.. bd lives in maine.. when he reached 1500 back support and was still refusing to pay they took away his license untill he paid a certain amount.. now his boss writes the weekly check thats sent to me..

I wish that'd happen to him! He lives in TX but has a TN license. TN said he wont be able to renew his license. That's about it. And he is his own boss. So it makes it freaking complicated. I hope something happens soon :/

im actually shocked they havnt done more to your BD. i got a paper in the mail stating that they took conans BD's license and if he still didnt pay he was going to be arrested for __ amount of days. then if he still didnt he was going to be locked up again for even longer.

I wish that would happen to my BD. he has no license or passport now but has yet to get arrested.

hmm maybe its because of how i got CS set up.. i signed up for Tanf when i moved here to cali since i cant get a job. and needed the help. they then went after him.

My BD thought that if he quit his job he wouldnt have to pay, but they just kept it at the same amount and it stacked up as back pay. Now because he got himself into lots of arrears on top of what he originally pays I get extra on top of that untill its paid off, and if he misses a payment he gets jail time.

Because of the amount of arrears he got himself into he now more or less works just to pay me LOL.

But its his own fault he got himself into this mess by quitting his job thinking that would stop child support. He actually text me saying he was going to do it and to "watch this" well guess who had the last laugh there.

I was being civil at the beginning and if he had come to the original court dates and just got on with it it would not have been so bad, men just do it to spite sometimes.

Im happy karma kicked him right in the nuts though
