Fever in a four yr old

What degree should worry me for a fever? My daughter basically refuses medicine and that's fine with me because she's resting and whatnot... It's only at 99/100 now and I know that's not really a concern. My daughter hasn't had a col in yearssss so I kid f forgot how to deal with this

My pedi doesn't recommend treating a fever until 102 or higher if they aren't acting uncomfortable. A fever is part of the kid's immune system. Suppressing a fever is suppressing part of their immune system. I normally treat it around 102 unless there's a sore throat or a sore ear to go along with the fever.

my kids hate the suspensions, what ever I can buy chewable i do...

I never take medicine myself... So I get why she's this way lol. I prefer not to give her anything. She has a cold and cough but nothing out of the ordinary. I will just keep taking her temp and let it run its course

This just reminded me of something. My middle baby *hates* all forms of medicine. Chewable .. liquid... etc He refuses it all. We had to give him a tylenol suppository last time because he was fighting us so hard.

Lol, well supositiory if fastest way to get meds to start working... I still take supositorys when I have really bad head ache and I'm not in mood to wait lol
