Uuuugggh I don't know, I mean if I was single and I met an amazing guy and he was Circ'd then I'd honestly be extremely disappointed. Well, my opinion on circumcision is neutral right now. I really don't see any pros or cons to it, let alone ones that can influence my perspective changing from pro- to anti-. Maybe when I'm a parent, that'll change someday. But for now, it is what it is. I guess it's just up to the parents to decide if it's their decision or their son's call. :/

Now, for female genital mutilation. There might be different ideas of what FGM may be, but my idea is usually a prepubescent girl being held down while her genitals are cut. I'm against that because of the horrendous pain and the terror that child would go through, alongside it evidently being a way to control a girl/woman's sexuality.
I'm against that because it violates one's rights horribly.

So maybe, it's more of me seeing one circumstance as a violation to a person's rights but not necessarily the other. :/

They are both wrong. How can you think removing part of an infant's genitals is okay? If you really think of the act itself and push aside what mainstream society has taught you to believe, you will see that it is a barbaric act.

Same here. It's like that with a lot of things. Why can a guy sleep around and be praised for it, but a girl is a slut for the same thing? If a woman stays home with the kids she's fine, but a man is a pussy or lazy for doing the same thing. It's okay to have a dating site for JUST black people (blackpeoplemeet.com, if you haven't seen the commercials) but if anything is labeled as exclusively for white people, there's an outrage.

I think a small part of it is a reticence to the idea that females have genitalia to begin with.   Why we can't get over our issues with vaginas, I'll never know.
