Heartbeat

YAY! At 16w 1d I finally got to hear the heartbeat! The doctor didn't want to look for it before now because I am plus sized and the "extra padding" as she called it, along with her poor quality doppler wouldn't have picked it up and she didn't want to stress me out. But, at my appointment today she found it, it took a while, but it was definately there! About 165 bpm. Just had to share my happiness and relief! Can't wait for my ultrasound next month.

I wasn't able to hear my first's heart beat with the doppler until 16 weeks because my uterus is tilted. My OB did an ultrasound at 12 weeks.

I had an ultrasound done around 8ish weeks (why can't I remember already?!) for dating, but because everything was on track and there was a heartbeat, they didn't do another to check for heartbeat. Baby was measuring a bit small in the first ultrasound, so I have been worried, along with slipping and falling on the ice a couple times haha, but it was definately a relief to hear a strong healthy heartbeat!
