She said that about 45 minutes ago and hasn't said much since then so I am thinking that is probably what is going on right now and she will probably want to go see Creedence afterward so there might not be any updates for awhile

So...guess what?! I was terrified of being put to sleep so I asked the doctor to try manually just one more time before they put me out. She just shoved her arm up there and grabbed it! It was extremely uncomfortable but I'd rather that than getting put to sleep. It took a lot longer than one try, and in the end they used a little hose to get the last few pieces. But it's done and over with now. Phew!

I haven't gotten to see him yet, it's been a little more than 4 hours since I had him. The pain meds they gave me while they were taking the placenta out made me nauseous and groggy. As soon as the nurse came in and mentioned pumping I perked right up though! I pumped sooooo much colostrum, I am amazed.
Nurse told me about 30 minutes ago she was going to get labels for it, come back and help me get cleaned up so we could go see him and I can do some kangaroo care, but she disappeared! I'm just so happy he's doing well. There's a lot we won't know for a few days, maybe even weeks, but for now he's pretty much breathing on his own and should be off the tubes by tomorrow I think? And they're going to let me do kangaroo care so that must mean he's keeping himself warm!
I need to get up there and ask questions lol DH did the best he could be he doesn't know about a lot of the stuff they're talking about so he doesn't necessarily know the right questions to ask.

That's great. You'll be up there in no time. It was like 4-5 hours before I got to see Scarlytt too. It's so hard. But once u get to hold him it'll be better. I'm glad u made it to 30 weeks. That's such a great milestone. It's gonna be a long road but luckily you live so close you'll be able to be with him more.

Wow that's amazing. He's so lucky you were able to keep him in there for these extra weeks! I'm singled to hear you're both doing well and I hope you get to hold him really soon. It will help even more to be able to be together. Good luck to you both and lots of healthy happy energy!

just got home and i'm trying to catch up on everything now!.... becky, i'm so glad everything went well for you and for creedence! glad hes out safely and that they got the placenta out without having to put you to sleep! so happy that things are looking good and i will be praying that they continue to do so! and congratulations on that sweet little boy's arrival!!
