Imaginary situation

posted 9th Jan
Let's imagine..

Should someone be punished by a crime he knew that could happen and didn't take any measures to avoid it?

For instance..

This is a completely ridiculous situation but let's say a mom wants to go on vacation and she leaves her children with someone that she knows could be a threat to her kids, for example, a heavy drugger or someone violent around young children, whatever.. Let's say the person is known to be really bad and the mom leaves her kids behind and returns to find he killed them. Who should be to blame for this? The mom? The person who killed them? Both? Why?

- I stand for both -

Definitely both! The person who actually did the act for obvious reasons but the mother for not preventing it. If a phyco tell his therapist that he is going to rape and murder a women, if the therapist doesn't report it they are also hd accountable. It should be that way for anyone!

You know, that just gave me an idea for a new debate topic, that I'd been thinking for a while, about a therapist too!

Therapists are legally obligated to report someone for harm to themselves or others. So yes if a therapist doesn't they should be held accountable

I know that but I'm also saying it should apply to everyday ppl. Especially if a mother were to put her kids with someone who most likely would hurt them or neglect them.
