How long does it take..

posted 9th Jan
For your hormone levels to go back to a negative after a miscarriage? I had my miscarriage December 17th and there not fully back down. Is it because I can possibly be pregnant again being that SO hasn't been pulling after when we have sex? I don't want to take a test and I still get a positive because of the hormones from the pregnancy I miscarried...

You could be pregnant again. I never had a period between my miscarriage and when I conceived LO.

It depends on how far along you were. I was 5 weeks when I had my miscarriage and it took me about 3 days for everything to go back to 0. I got pregnant right after I lost my baby. I conceived 2 weeks afterwards. If I were you I'd take a test and see. Have you had a period since your loss?

I was 12 weeks when I miscarried. I had my bloodwork done for the miscarriage yesterday for the third time and my hormones are still not back down . I want to take a test so bad but I don't wanna get my hopes up because of my old hormones.

Yes, it depends on how far along you were in the pregnancy. With my first miscarriage I was only 5 weeks 1 day and when I went to the ER they said my levels were already at a 6. I got my first period afterwards exactly 30 days after my miscarriage. Then with my second miscarriage, I lost the baby somewhere between 12-13 weeks but didn't know it until I went to the ER at 14 weeks 5 days for something else. The baby didn't pass on its own so I had to have a d&c the day I was suppose to be 15 weeks. I was still getting positive home tests until 6 weeks after the d&c.

When I went for my follow up after my miscarriage he said everything passed on its own , so I'm wondering if its because I might be pregnant because my hormones are not fully back down.
