Potty training help! (BOY)

My Son will be 3 in May and i think its time to start tryng to potty like a big boy! any advive you can give me aim wise and getting him to go? and i know wait till he is ready im not pressuring him to go just giving him the option.

Set a timer for every 30 minutes and take him potty. Also potty right before he goes down for bed/nap and as soon as he wakes up.

Come up with a potty song and have him just sit on the toilet to get comfortable and sing it too him to distract him from getting upset. I would also explain to him the whole process and let him watch us (watching his older cousin go was pretty helpful too, he would take my DS into the bathroom and tell him in kid talk).

Also, some do good with the potty chair, some the big toilet. My son refused to go on the potty chair and once I stopped pushing it he was all for the idea of trying in on the big toilet.
