The exterminator is coming out tomorrow to treat the building and spray. Will he be able to tell me whether it is safe for me stay home when he sprays me unit? And will he be able to tell me what chemicals he's using so I can call my OB if he isn't sure?

He should absolutely be able to tell you what he is using. Whether or not he knows if you're ok to be around it, is a maybe. When our building is sprayed they use an all natural product. So I know there are some out there.

The exterminator we've used is extremely knowledgeable about all that. I would assume he would have to be and will tell you if it's ok for you to be around or how long to wait etc.

If it makes a difference, one of my neighbors has a toddler and many of us have pets. Is it safe to assume that I'll probably be alright?

I still plan on asking, it's just that they're calling for some rain in the morning so I'd like to be prepared if I need to disappear for a little bit.

I hope so. I know down in Florida they leave a receipt that lists all the chemicals used. I dunno if they do that up here so I'm trying to arm myself with questions just in case.

If it's safe for them I'd say it's safe for you as well. Normally if you have to vacate yourself or pets they give you notice
