IUD

I had my IUD put in Tuesday and the doctor said to be careful having se for the next few weeks. My question is..I have been working out and doing jumping jacks, and alot of cardio exercising that involves alot of bouncing ad quick movements...should I avoid those for the next week or two and just ride my bike extra?

i think you will be ok, just keep manually checking the strings. do you havea 1 mo appt iud check? then you would find out if it's making it shift.

I don't think excersize should hurt, I'm guessing your doctor is more concerned with an infection starting sinc IUD's attach themselves slightly.

My doc said that sex was fine but it could be uncomfortable when the penis hits where the IUD is located before your body adjusts to it being there.

yeah, infection risk is highest in thefirst3 days, and slightly high in the first month. after that your body is usually fine with it.

yeah at first it hurt me really bad if my bf's penis pushed on my cervix. but now it's better.

haha. well hopefully youre not like me, i have been spot bleeding since i got it dec 26th.
