If you have an infant boy would you pierce his ears?

A friend of mine commented on someone's pic of their baby (we thought it was a girl since the ears were pierced but it was a baby boy).

I always told DH if DS wanted his ears pierced when he got older than that's his decision but I wouldn't force him to and do not expect him to ever.

What are your alls thoughts?

I didn't even pierce my baby girl's ears. I see no need to put holes in my child. If he/she wants to do it they're older, so be it.

my thoughts are the same for a boy as they are for a girl. when they're old enough to take care of them and decide for themselves, they can get them done.

When he turns 18, he can do whatever he wants.  

i used to say yes now its a no not unless he wants to. besides its not like in style as much now. but things such as the razor to the brows and designs on his head (well no designs he has dreads) those things id wait til he could ask for it jimself

I had an infant son and daughter and I didn't/wouldn't pierce either of their ears. It's their body and their choice to make.

Heck no. My sons ears will remain untouched until he decides otherwise.

I wouldn't pierce any infant

Nope. I waited for A to ask for her ears to get pierced. Cylus wanted his done too but I feel he is still too young to get them done (3) and I want him to wait a bit to make sure that is what he wants.

My soon to be 4 yr has hers done and loves them. She decided. My 2 yr just recently kept asking that's what she wanted from "Santa" and we took her and she helps us clean them doesn't mind them either. DS doesn't care for things like that and I am glad and hope it stays that way.

I have a few friends that have young boys with their ears pierced. I dont care, its a personal preference. I personally wouldnt do it to my son. I got my daughters ears piereced when she was 2 months, she wore earings till she was about 2 and decided she didnt want them anymore. She is 8 now and could careless about them.

We actually didnt do it, I told him I was going to put a pull up on him and she begged me not to and cried. So I couldnt do it.  
I made him pee before bed, and woke him up about 2 and asked if he needed to pee. He said "no shhh, I asleep" lol He didnt pee so I hope this will work.
