This baby name? Oops :)

So, my wonderfully gorgeous cousin (who's an OBGYN herself  ) had her baby yesterday!
(sharing a birthday with my mom, woo hooooo  )

Finley Jude R.
"Finn"

But... it's a girl  

I'm all for boyish names on girls, but Finley Jude- i had to confirm that 'she' wasn't a surprise 'he'.

Buuut that's not even the point of this.
She'll be a gorgeous little Finn.

My cousin & her husband decided to keep their name on the down low til she was born.
I'm a few months behind them and it's been a running joke in the family that we'd name the baby "Finn", "Finn Fergesen"
At her baby shower everyone was calling my belly Finn, laughing at how goofy "Finn Fergesen" sounded..even my aunt (HA, her mom   ) (she didn't know their name choice either)
I mean, my parents refer to the baby as Finn (even though they know we'll never use that name  )
And now i feel kinda bad!
Hopefully she knows we were just mocking the repetitive F sound,
cos it's a cute name on it's own,
but i couldn't help but giggle when i saw it    

Ever met a girl named Finn?

People think Finley is a girl name because of the -lee sound. But truly it's not.

No, and I'm glad. Finn just reminds me too much of fish... LOL

I would never think it's a girl name, ha, if used on a girl i'd just think it was..a boy name used on a girl.

I think it'll be cute on her though.

I love any and all Finn names. On a boy.

I think it's a beautiful name, but I agree... it makes you think MALE

I've never heard anyone use Finley for a girl. Especially with a masculine middle name as well.

She'll probably grow into it though.

I'm sorry but that is TERRIBLE. Kind of makes me aggravated actually, that she used Jude. I'm so sick of people taking totally 100% masculine names and using them on girls. One day there's not going to be any good boy names left

aww I like Finley for a girl.
But I dont like when people spell Fynn "finn" *yuck!
But it works for her because it would be the first three letters of her name  
We have a Piper Jude at my daughter preschool, I feel like there more modern names are becoming very upcoming right now!

Jude was definitely on our boy list!

Finley is ok for a girl I guess but not with Jude as a middle name.

At first I thought it was Finley Judy and I was really confused haha.

I've never heard Finn/Finley on a girl but I once had a teacher with the first name Flynn. All are horrid on girls. And Finley Jude is all boy.
