Using the same letter?
posted 9th Jan
Would you use a name that starts with the same letter as your last name? Or even all three names ( first, middle, last ) all start with the same letter? Is it to cheesy? Or do you like it?

I don't like it lol I try to have their first middle and last name all start with different letters..

Maybe first and last, but not all three.
I always think alliterative names make people sound like a superhero/villian, haha.

I wouldn't do it on purpose, but if I were to like the flow of the names and fell in love then yes I would, but I definitely would not do all three. My little brother's initials are D.J.D Full name is Dalton James Dillon.

I love boy names that share the same initial as my last name. It sounds adorable in my opinion. I wouldn't do all three though unless it flowed well.

Probably not all 3. Mine will have first and last because she has SOs initials. His name is Samuel stout and hers is Scarlytt stout.

I would definitely use first and last name with the same letter. Our last name starts with a B, and there are so many awesome double B names out there.
Not all three though...that would just run together.

Both my son and daughter have the same 3 initials and ya it can get confusing at times, but I absolutely love it and so does everyone in our families. we plan to do the same with the next 2 kids
quoteposted 9th Jan
i definitely wouldn't intentionally do it.

I'm sorry but how do you not intentionally do it? I could see if maybe you named the baby right after birth and didn't really think about it...

IMO it's cheesy as smurf. My SIL did it.
Everyone in the family makes fun of it.
Chase, Carter, Clayton, Clare.
and they have C last name too..
If it's one of their birthday's everyone's kind of like
Oh you know whatever the smurf one it is...C whatever.
I stay away from the letter names we have already used... I don't want to get "stuck" with that lol

I can't stand it. At all.

All 3 of my letters were MMM before I got married. I liked it as a kid but I wouldn't do it to my child probably. I doubt I could ever find 3 B names that I like anyways, I can't even think of one.
