re: People's "advice" and opinions.

Same thing with vaccinations. People got their opinions. In the world of babies, everyone "knows 100%" that they're right on whatever the hell they're talking about.
I had DS circ'd while we were in the hospital because my family and I believed it would be better hygiene if there was no foreskin.

You're the mom. Do what you want & to hell with everyone else!

Agreed! I don't take it too seriously. I just think people are nuts.

my mom doesn't give too much advice. I was adopted, so she never went through the pregnancy and childbirth thing. I can tell she's a little freaked out I want to breast feed though. She won't even talk about it if I bring it up.

My mom wont stop bugging me I try not to even talk to her at all (Various reasons) but when I do... She's really annoying and outdated, and know it all -ish. and I can't stand it. Breastfeeding good for baby though  ! Good for you. I plan on at least giving it a shot before shooting it down.

Yeah no one in my immediate family has had a baby since my aunt... And my cousins now 18. I think she's just so uncomfortable with the breast feeding. Every time she just tells me if its a money issue my dad and her will be happy to buy the formula for the baby. Ooook mom. Not the issue but whatever

LOL. It's a lot better than formula God what do mothers now think moms did way before powered formula? Seriously.

I know I said to hell with everyone and do what ya want, but I really believe that the breast is best! Beastfeeding is so wonderful! When DS was born, we had latching issues so I had to pump and finger feed in the hospital, then when my milk came in, I used a shield up until the 1st month, things just clicked! DS is such a boobie baby and I love breastfeeding! It can be painful the first couple of weeks (and every so often), but just remember: It's the sole purpose of our ta-tas. So don't shoot it down too quickly. It's hell of a lot easier to feed during the middle of the night too! No bottles to be washed, formula to be made. Breastmilk will be the right amount and temperature for your baby
