Eventful day

Update time! It's now 8pm in Islamabad. We slept in (well, so did...I've been too excited to sleep except for on planes). We've been saying at the Serena Hotel, which is beautiful and I got to practice my Urdu and Hindi on the staff. They even have a dog walker, but Wrangler wouldn't have that. I got a male escort from the hotel to a tiny Hindu temple for puja this morning and he waited for me to finish, which was before the call to prayer (beautiful!). He said we hindus were crazy to wake before dawn to pray. I told him I thought muslims were crazy, but that is a typical American thought.

Got back to hotel with Wrangler (everyone there loves the huge German dog walking with the American woman).

Woke SO up, had breakfast, and went to the zoo. I can't go to a city without going to the zoo! Had a great time and got to hug an elephant. Wrangler liked the camels and SO liked the American Black Bear andBald Eagle.

He's packing so we can head to the plane. We are leaving forAgra tonight so we can check into the hotel and watch the sunrise at the Taj Mahal in the morning.

I didn't think I would like it, but Pakistan is a lot different than I thought it would be. I'm going top make a point of coming back soon.

India here we come!

That's so cool! I wanted to be an exchange student in Pakistan during high school but my dad wouldn't let me. Lol.

Exciting!! I wish I could travel to India. Sounds like you're having a great time so far. Safe travels!

I will once I get there. I left my camera bag on the counter at home! At least everything is cheap here, so I can get an awesome camera once I hit Agra.

So did you and your SO have to get a visa to be over there for a year? DH and I were thinking about going over and spending some time in Europe, thats why I asked.

I have a one year student visa. He has a six month tourist visa. He will have to leave India for thirty days and get another visa, so we will plan our Everest trip for the days he has to leave.

It's 3 am. My body is still on us time. We made it to agra and are going to watch the sunrise at the Taj Mahal.

So where are you now? I think this is just so cool, all the things you are getting to see, or going to see, I want to see pics of Taj Mahal at sunrise, please post them soon
