For everyone struggling with weight loss. More of a motivational one... IMO.

It took me about 15-16 months. Some weeks, I didn't lose... some I gained. Other weeks I lost a few. I was so frustrated throughout the whole thing, and tried to give up many many times. I just kept reminding myself that the ending would be worth it! That was the hardest. I would become discouraged because I didnt see the change I wanted, right away.

Keep going! You're going to do great! Just make the small changes, and the rest will follow. You didnt gain weight overnight, so even though it's hard, be patient and keep going!

I do have a question. How does the CDC come up with their numbers? Is it based on BMI? Or something else?

I'm only asking you because you posted in there about the CDC.  . But to me BMI is NOT a good indicator of obesity. My son is considered obese at the age of 3 ( based on BMI) because he's 34 pounds. Sorry for the questions lol.

Its okay! I'm actually not sure of their formula or how they compile their info. I know that in one reference, I posted stats on waist size as well. I agree that BMI can sometimes be a bad indicator. But on a man, an average of 40 inches for waist size is pretty bad.

yea i keep telling myself even the small changes count, like ii cut back majorlly on soda, and i maybe will have a can once a week, watching portions, and working out for at least a half hour in the morning. im way too impatient for weight loss lol

As I sit here contemplating what fast food place I'm going to for lunch :-/ It is true though, on my end its because I'm on the go constantly. I don't have time to make myself lunch to bring to work and even if I don't get time to sit down and eat at work because I use my lunch break to take my son to preschool. So 80% of the time I stop and get fast food on the way back because its easy to eat while driving and fast to pick up. If not I end up not eating lunch at all. I haaaate it.

Have you tried making your lunch the night before? That's how I do it. After Liv goes to bed, I think about what I'm going to have the next day, and get it all packed up. Sometimes I cook a week's worth of chicken to use for whatever. Tacos, salads, stir fry, etc. I know that is hard for you to do with your schedule though. If you eat fast food though, do you order cheeseburgers and whatnot, or do you get the grilled/healthy(ish) stuff?

I've tried to on the days I get to have lunch at my work, I'll bring a salad in with some chicken and cucumbers and be satisfied with that. On the days I have to drive an eat there isn't much I could pack because I haaate deli meat sandwiches actually I don't like sandwiches in general really and I can't think of much to bring that's healthy, filling, and something easy to eat while I drive. And yes I'm not a fan at all of fast food burgers, usually I'll get a grilled chicken snack wrap buuut I'll get a soda which I.need to stop doing and the occasional fries which is bad.
