nuchal translucency

Today I went in for my nuchal translucency test. That measures the swelling at the back of the fetal neck. Well normal range is under 3 (whatever the measurement is). The bean's is 7.45. I got my finger pricked so they could send it to the place that does this testing. It could be DS or one of the trisomies or nothing. I won't know for a week. I might not be as far along as I thought and therefore the test isn't accurate.
This means another trip to the specialist. Another ultrasound...this time a level 2. So if you all could maybe say a prayer for us that would be wonderful. I am hoping that everything is fine.

Just remember that those tests aren't always that accurate.

Is that something they normally test for? I've never had one done... Or are they just keeping an extra close eye on you. Either way I'll be hoping baby bean is just behind schedual! When do you go in for the level 2?

well they just called and they made me an appt for next Friday morning (the first available) I can't make it. I have very important training for work next week and if I miss it I can't do my job and I have no idea when they are training again. So probably 1-2 weeks? When ever they can get me in the week of the 16th
