So I am going to bitch and vent.....

I am so pissed off right now, and I know its silly to be all pissed off about this, but whatever I am pissed and bitchy.

So in September I bought a car seat for lo, its a pain in the ass to install the bitch. Called and made an appointment with the car seat clinic. Appointment was Feb 6th 2013...ya long time away from October.

They called a week and half ago or so. Changed it to TODAY. I was happy excited, since lo will be 1 on Feb 4th, time is and was running out.
Well today my dad was to bring it in to get installed for 1:30pm. (yes doing me a huge favor) well I dont have a car or a license at all. He is our transportation.

Anyways I went to put it in the van last night, it was freezing rain out, so he said put it by the front door, I'll put it in, in the morning when I go to work.
Well he didnt, its still here by the front door.
Now I have to call and cancel and get another appointment AGAIN.

Its a 30 min drive home to get the seat when he is done work, then about an hour to the car seat clinic to get it put in. So he is not going now, cause there is no time.
Im really pissed about this. Pissed that I wont get in till March or later now. We have one place and its appointment only and only 1 wednesday a month from 12pm to 4pm.

I have no idea what I am going to do for a car seat for her now, till then.

I have bitched on here a lot about this car seat trouble since september. Like wtf do I do now?????

Order a new one that's easier to install.

That wont change anything. I already returned 3 different seats. For the same reason. None are easy to install in the van due to the seat placements.

I would try and put it in myself. Can it really be that hard to do? We have one seat that is a bitch but we still managed to get it in there air tight... we have an old GMC Safari, seats are ridiculous... maybe it will take a group effort?

I spent 6 hrs back in Novemeber trying to install the bitch. It wont. It took 4 of the huge pool noodles under it and there was still a huge gap under it, and was all crooked.

The van seats have an inward slope (like where your butt sits) so its too hard to get in and tighten it properly. Cant do a group effort, no space to fit more then one person in the back of the van. The van we have, its common that he installs them due to the seats.

Maybe buy a cheap car, wouldn't be bad to have anyway.

Well ya it would be bad. dont have a lisence to drive, nor will I ever drive. lol My dad is the only one in the family that drives. So we only need 1 vehicle.

Get a license. It's pretty simple.

that sucks dude! Can you call someplace else, like a fire station or something? Or do they just check installation?

Not that simple. I wish it was. But I am paranoid to be in a vehicle enough as it is. I dont drive for a reason. I just cant do it. Its not in me. I have done my written tests and passed with all perfects. But I wont get behind the wheel at all. so no point in doing it.

No the place we were going to to get it installed, is the only place that does it here. Its an hour away. Our city actually has no installation or car seat checks at all. Our fire stations dont do them checks or installations and our police station does not either, they dont even know about EFR where I live.

Clearly it's negatively impacting your life. I'd be making that a major focus and doing everything possible to overcome it, to ignoring it.

There is actually more to it then just that. But there is no point getting into it on here. lol Its not something I share with ppl at all. I dont ignore it persay.

But driving would have more of a negative impact on mine and my kids life then not driving, so I stick with not driving.
