Ugh I f ing hate this

posted 9th Jan
My sister is staying with us til tomorrow. This entire time it has been hell. She's 15, barely eats, but the little bit that she does eat is Smurfing expensive at the grocery. So I have hubs complaining to me the entire time about money being wasted. And then her wasting majority of the food. He is taking it out on me. I can't take this anymore. I love my sister but I'm glad she is going to my other sisters house to stay for the rest of the week tomorrow. I'm sick and tired of my smurfing husband and his smurfing childish behaviour. And attacking me over my little sisters pickiness.

Ugh sorry just needed to vent.

She is 15, tell her to eat what she is given or go without.

My parents are on a week long cruise and my older sister asked if she could have her for the last half.

What does she eat that cost so much?? It would piss me off to if my SO was bitching because of my little sister. Why is she bouncing around?

.
It sounds like she may have an eating disorder... maybe... either way.... she's old/young enough to be told to eat what she's given.

Can't. She's a 6 yo trapped in a 15 yo body. She has development delays and didn't eat actual food since a few years ago. She's a bird picker. But she won't eat unles it's specific food. She's 15 and has just hit 30kg. My parents enable the pickiness because they just want her to eat. But it's aggravating my husband.

I wouldn't cater to her pickiness. Heck no. What I cook and serve is what's available. Eating disorder? Perhaps, but I wouldn't put up with that. Sounds to me that she might just be spoiled or extremely picky an could learn a thing or two by not being given a separate option.

Well your DH is being rude, she has development delays, it's not her fault.

Her bread is $5 a loaf
Cheese $8 a block
Cupa noodles $3

List goes on but that's just a little example.

All of these we have already at home... But it's the wrong brand so she won't touch it.

Ugh it's frustrating.

Well, I can understand your husbands frustration. He likely doesn't understand the entire situation and that is stressful on your relationship. Your parents should have given you some grocery money to accomadate her needs. Good thing she will be with your other sister tomorrow. Make it a little easier on your house to get back to normal. When the waters cool, maybe you could try to explain your sisters condition a little better to your husband. remember, you lived this. You understand it. He didn't and he is a man so that is two strikes on him.
