Birth Control and breast feeding

My doctor gave me a prescription for Norethindrone, which is a oral contraceptive they give breast feeding mothers. My question is i haven't started my period and don't know when I will because im breast feeing so when do i start the pill?

You need to take it whether you've started your period or not. You ovulate before you start your period so you need to be protected, plus it takes a few weeks to a month to work properly

Yeah, just make sure to take it at the same time every single day. The effects only last up to 24 hours so if you're late on taking it you may not be protected
