I think you make an amazing point. I find that people tend to pray more of get more religious when times are tough and then get angry when that doesn't make them easier. We aren't puppets, we are human beings given the gift of free will.

I know that I certainly have prayed and prayed and prayed in tough times, but I make a point, knowing how beautiful life can be compared to what it has been, to thank God for helping me get to where I am today.

Guidence is hard to get without support. I'm many losing support because I feel so judged from "God's" people.

Are you truly giving 100%? Are you taking the risks you need to get to where you want to be, or is fear holding you back from giving your everything? A big aspect of faith is being not only completely honest with God, but being completely honest with yourself....which is a VERY hard pill to swallow. It's one of the hardest lessons I ever had t learn.

People have free will and they're going to do whatever the hell they please. God doesn't make people say mean things or do mean things. Those are smurffy decisions people have made to abuse their own free will. You can't control what other people do, so you have to stop caring. Your relationship with God is no one else's and no one else's business. Surround yourself with positive and cut out the negative.

Just like women always say "don't punish me for your ex's actions".

Don't punish God for what religious people do and say to/about you. That has nothing to do with God. That has everything to do with them being out of line and rude.

I have given it my all, just to be told well it's because you don't follow the bible, oh you still curse, you listen to rap. I had such a close relationship with God until I just felt I wasn't doing enough because I wwasn't properly following him.

There are 97589659534 forms of Christianity, and there's no rule book or guideline. You have your relationship with God, and you define it. Music doesn't define it, nor any other unimportant factor...and I'm sure that logically thinking, you understand that.

It seems like you're more upset about this person's disapproval than anything. Which has nothing to do with your relationship wit God.
