pink on toilet paper normal?

posted 8th Jan
Ok SO I have not lost my actual mucus plug yet... But I just peed and when I wiped there was a little spot of light pink on the toilet paper... Is this normal if I have not lost my plug yet? I feel LO moving fine... I had 5 minutes worth of period cramps earlier but nothing that lasted or came back... I WAS going to have sex w/ SO later to help ripen my cervix b/c 2 weeks ago it was still closed pretty good & I was told sex would be the only safe way to help my body for when baby WANTS to come out. Is it safe to have sex after you lose your plug? I dont even know if that is what is happening... hmmmmm.... im 38 weeks 3 days.

I don't see why it would be any problem.

If you're just randomly bleeding, I would call the on call doctor and let them know, just in case.

A little bit of pink on the toilet paper is not random bleeding. I would almost best money that it is because your cervix is starting to change. Hump away!!

I had what looked like barely tinged pink discharge a few days ago, but it was too light to tell for sure if it was or not, since I always have a thicker than normal discharge during pregnancy that's white. My bet would be your cervix is changing a little bit and you should be fine to have sex

If it were me, I'd call because it would worry me. But, you can obviously do as you wish.

If she calls they will most likely tell her the same thing. If she isn't bleeding enough to fill a pad or more an hour, her water hasn't broken, and she's not having regular contractions, she's fine.

Still nothing bad will happen from letting the doctor know.
