Stupid pregnancy nightmares

posted 8th Jan
At the beginning of this pregnancy I had nightmares that I had the baby and then she died (because in my dreams I was having a girl) all the time. Nothing all through my second semester and now I wake up every morning at 7:30 (I work until 2 am, bed at 3 am) having a nightmare. Last night my nightmare was zombies were trying to get into our house and I left DS in the living room to run and wake DH up and the zombies got in and ate DS's hands   But seriously, every day I wake up at the same time from a stupid nightmare. I'm not used to nightmares. Either I don't dream at all or I have horrendous night terrors where I wake up crying, screaming, or in the floor because I flung myself out of bed. Regular old nightmares are not something I usually have. Bleh. It's bad enough waking up to pee all the time.

End pointless post. Kinda bored.

Yeah, I'm not sure what causes it but I had them with both of my pregnancies. They weren't quite so regular with my first though, haha. You can almost time me which is funny because I switch back and forth from day shift to night shift a lot so my sleep schedule changes completely all the time, and I still always wake up at 7:30 from a nightmare lol. DS1 never started moving around at all until 10 am, and I never woke up early when I pregnant with him and he's a major night owl. Does not wake up before 10 am and god help you if you try to wake him up earlier than that. I'm really hoping this baby does turn out to be a morning person lol.

I've had a few dreams that were really hard for me to shake. In the first trimester I had a dream that my cat smothered the little girl we had when she was a few days old and I couldn't even look at my cat for weeks because it felt so real. But the one from this morning was so off the wall I couldn't even let it bother me. It did when I very first woke up but once I went pee I had mostly gotten over it. I had one a few nights ago where I was being chased by some guy that was trying to rape me and no one would help me. I got inside a house and locked the door and it turns out I actually got out of bed in my sleep and went and locked our dead bolt, which DH didn't have a key to and I locked him out   I do weird smurf in my sleep when I'm pregnant. With DS1 I used to strip naked in my sleep and go sleep in the living room on the couch, sometimes on the floor and wake up with no idea where my clothes were or how I got out of bed lol. I know I was just hot and took them off in my sleep, but still smurfed up lol.

With my first I never had weird dreams but my son was always active at night and early morning and kept me up most of the night he is a morning person and has slept threw the night sense day one. This one seems to kick more in the early morning and afternoon so I am hoping he may take after his older brother and have the same type of sleep schedule lol but who knows.

I have had nightmares about losing the baby, but apparently now thanks to hormone surges I have nothing but sex dreams about random guys I work with! I'm very happily married and most of these guys I rarely even look at or speak to...it's weird.

DS2 is always really active in the middle of the night, early morning, and afternoon but he's usually pretty calm between lunch and supper time. If he's like DS1 and his sleeping habits carry forward from the womb I'm gonna have a reeeeeally hard time because they're going to be polar opposites

LOL With my first I had dreams like that about tv characters. Namely Sam and Dean Winchester hahahaha. I'd take those over zombies eating my 20 month old lol.

I love me some Sam!!! And I completely agree I will take freaky sex with almost strangers over any kind of nightmare.

I have been thinking about this as well my three year old is awake at 8 every morning only time he sleeps past 8 is when it's crappy outside and the sun isn't out so if this one is a night owl I am going to get no sleep lol

See, my DS sleeps like the dead. He goes down between 7 and 8 and sleeps until 10 or 11 and always has. If you try to wake that child up before 9:30 you absolutely will regret it lol. He's crabby ALL day. If it's dark outside you almost can't wake him up at all, but once the sun comes up he's easily awoken, but he's not happy about it. So, if DS2 decides to wake up early every day and wakes DS1 up I'm gonna have an extremely cranky 2 year old all day long, no matter if he takes a nap or not   I go to school full time too so I'm really seriously hoping they will sync up at least on what time they go to sleep so I can get my school work done after work.

Everybody loves Sam! I'm more of a Dean girl. My sister thinks I'm nuts lol.

I am a full time college student as well and I switched to a similar major that they offer on-line only because I was so nervous how this would work and didn't want to chance failing my classes.

If I didn't work full time as well I wouldn't be so worried, but I have to work up until I go into labor because the last 2 months last year we had some financial hurdles and now we're behind, then I have to have DS2 in the middle of the semester, so I have to get my work done ahead of time, then I have to BF, get my school work done, take care of a toddler and an infant while finishing up. This is my last semester and I'm really hoping my classes are easy. They were mostly gen eds like public speaking, and a music class, but I also have a business class and biology and I have no idea how rough those two are gonna be. I'm hoping to get as much work done as possible BEFORE baby gets here. I usually am able to finish my semesters early but only a couple weeks early. Not 2 or 3 months early
