No advice. I loved my c section. Glad I had it

Ive had 2 c-sections. Good luck, if you're nervous about it try calling a midwife and see if they would have you do the same, if not they might bring another option to the table other than surgery.

I had an emergency c section with my first and I'll be having a second the end of February. I actually didn't mind my c section, I recovered fairly quick from it. Only tip I can give you is always have a pillow to hold on your incision area when getting up, or sneezing. All I can say is sneezing is very painful after I'll neve forget that pain. Once I left the hospital I was up and getting around well I think that's a reason I healed quickly but don't over do it. I hope everything goes well for you, good luck!

Have you tried a chiropractor? They have one that comes to my midwife's office once a week. She works miracles, she can preform an adjustment that makes the baby flip.

My son (11 days-old, now) was breech also. I also had very low amniotic fluid. I was scheduled for my cesarean the day after my obstetrician discovered this.
The cesarean was easy peasy... It was all over within an hour. The worst part was the spinal anesthetic.
The recovery, however, was HORRIBLE. Take your pain meds in an overlapping schedule and don't miss a dose. It'll take about a week before you'll begin to feel "normal" again. Let your support people take care of you at home.
Good luck! You'll do just fine.

I didnt feel like I needed the pain meds after my first c section. This time around might be different though! My mom got me up and walking as soon as I could feel my feet again. I think that was the best thing for me! It made me feel human again. So my advice, is to walk as soon as you can. Even if its just from your bed to the toilet and back. The small stuff is what counts!

If your not due til Jan 23rd why not schedule it AFTER? I mean what if your really two weeks behind? That would be like a month early

And what if the due date is accurate and she goes into active labor before the cesarean and major complications arise because the baby is breech? Delivering a breech baby vaginally can be VERY dangerous for both mom and baby.

Exactly.
This girl is stressed enough. Don't be a negative nelly

Just had my first LO and it was csection.. I loved having a csection I was able to get up and around good next day and I never took pain meds afterwards. I have a high pain tolerance though.

I had a c section with my first and HOPING I can have a VBAC.. Dr said as long as I go into labor by my due date we can try.. I hated my c sec.. but yes walking actually helps! as much as it hurts that first time getting up its all for the good!

Be cautious, though. Walking too much can cause trouble. I walked and started household activities too soon and now I have to go in today to have my incision re-closed due to sts on it.
