My sister still uses the infant seat and my nephew will be 1 next month. She just leaves the seat in the car

We have the one I hate in my mom's car. It's like literally impossible to install properly because it has no angle indicator at all. So I prefer having him in it as little as possible. Once we front face I think it'd be a great seat, but it sucks ass for rear facing, and they won't be front facing until they hit limits. My husband is more adamant than me lol. He says stuff like "FRONT FACING NEEDS OUTLAWED!" and "I don't care how much it costs, make it happen they need the best seats!" lol

Aw, that's cute. Lol. Is it a safety first alpha omega? We have one of those and after I had it a couple months I realized it was installed wrong (by a person that wasn't me) and would not for the life of me install angled enough in our car. So that's when we got his myride. I wouldn't mind it forward facing but it only goes up to 45 lbs and I want him harnessed longer than that. I'm holding onto it until babies r us does their trade in thing and then using it towards a Nautilus.

Yeah it's the Alpha Elite 65. Hate it with a passion. You seriously need like 10-12" of gap below the base and the seat to get it "right". Our AE ff harnesses until 65lbs so does the MR65.

Ours is an alpha omega elite (regular I guess) and only goes to 45 or else we'd just keep it. The base on it is much smaller (like between baby's butt and actual seat of vehicle) than the myride. I hit DSs head on the top if the car pretty often trying to get him in... I can't wait for the Nautilus.

Search YouTube for an intallation video. I couldn't figure out the tether strap until I watched the installation video.

We have a Radian RXT, and her great grandma has a MyRide 65. The Radian is less bulky, but it is heavier because it has a steel alloy frame. I love that the infant insert in the MyRide prevents her head from going sideways. I ordered my Radian from justkidsstore.com for $214.

Have you by chance looked into the Graco My Size 70? It's got the highest shell rear facing and obviously would fit a while forward facing due to that reason as well. It's about a $170 investment and it'll last longer than the Radian would. My advice would be to get this seat for Rory and save the My Ride 65 for the newbie since you said you're not doing an infant seat. I hear the My Ride 65 with that infant insert is AWESOME for a newborn.

I didn't know if you were or not, but I figure you'll at one point, need a second rear facing seat aside from infant seat so that's why I suggested that seat

How? The Radian rearfaces until 45 lbs and forward faces until 80 lbs, and a 10 year life. MySize 70 only rear faces until 40 lbs. and forward faces until 70 lbs. Her grandmother has a MyRide 65, and I love the infant insert though.

Thanks   I may have found a deal to get her Radian for only $200 too. My husband is pretty set on both kids in a Radian. He's becoming a car seat fanatic lol

Plus it can be used as a booster.
