8 year old with body odor

posted 8th Jan
I know the first question will be is "Does he bath frequently" the answer is yes, he takes a shower daily. Just wanted to get that out of the way.

Now let's get back to the subject, DS is 8 and his armpits stink, it's not him washing correctly, I've washed for him and he still stinks. I have him put on "pit spray" every day and that helps. Any ideas on what I can do to help get rid of it? Should I talk to a doctor? Could it be something more? I didn't even know kids could have BO.

Give him some deodorant? Maybe he's starting puberty young.

He could be starting puberty. Seems to be starting younger for kids these days. Lol.

Does he drink regular milk? Sometimes milk with hormones can speed up children's puberty. I had a girl in my girl scout troop who had BO at age 4. Her mom switched her to Organic milk and it went away.

Maybe experiment with other types? The spray never worked for my brother.

yeah probably just need to go ahead and get him a good deodorant.

My son is also 8 but I haven't noticed him having any BO problems. I actually thought about this a few weeks ago on when I would have to get him some deodorant and all
