Transitioning between houses

posted 8th Jan
We haven't split up yet, however SO is at his parents, and not by his choice.
That's not the issue here.

When Ainsley is home with me, she's just like she always has been. Fairly happy with a few tantrums here and there, but an average four year old. We play, do crafts, watch tv.

When she goes to Nana and Papa's house she is a terror. Last night she took 2 bottles of shoe powder and COVERED a room in them, chairs, bed, floors, walls, dresser, everything. She also pees her pants for attention.
I know they play with her, and cuddle her, and they're great with her.

My work schedule is kinda crazy cause I just started a new job, and I have a lot of doctors appointments. She's been staying there only when she has to, but I feel like her being over there is stressing my poor baby out.
She has to go there though, I have no other choice.

I just need some ideas about transitioning from house to house.
Maybe a behavior chart? She loves stickers. SO's parents are making her out to seem like a little demon, and since we got home she's been great. She had one tantrum but other than that she's been awesome.

Help! Please.

Im sry she is having such a hard time adjusting, does she has a a comfort toy or blanket that she likes to bring with her there?
I know that sticker charts arent a good long time solution, but maybe for a short time they would be good.

She brings her blanket back and forth, but lately it isn't helping.
I'm hoping if she can try some coping skills it may help. I'm printing stuff out for his family now.
I'm hoping this won't be long term anyway

Yea thats a good idea, she might just need to go threw it too. Do they remain calm when she does all that or do they get angry with her & does her dad discipline her like you do?

They get angry at her. We typically discipline the same, but with his parents around I'm not sure.
