Help me! (Diono Radian)

The Diono Radian RXT I ordered finally came today, yay! Anyways, I can't figure out the recline position it needs to be in to install the rear facing boot. The manual says it needs to be in the ''raised position''. Which one is that?! Does the recline need to be flush to the seat or sticking out to attach the boot?

I really don't know why I am having such a hard time understanding this damn part of the manual.

Don't mess with the recline. The recline function is for FF only.

The Radian manuals are worded ridiculously. They're not as complicated as they make it out to be   It's actually one of the easiest seats I've installed.

When they say ''raised'' I figure it needed to be in the position where it sticks out and raises the seat up lmao.

Ya rear face you have to have the boot, and this seat (in some cars) is really reclined. Check your car and see if it allows touching (if the back if the radian touches the back of the seat. Amazon also sells the angle adjuster for like 10$. It's just a block the goes under the seat that makes it a little more upright

Thank you! I was actually going to ask about the touching and if it would be in the cars manual or the carseats. It's more reclined than his old carseat, and that thing was huge and barely fit. It's in, but pretty snug.

Just googled and diono and Britax are the only two that allow touching

Cobalt, that's the only one albeebaby had left in stock. I want the Plum one for Ella though  

You have to se if your vehicle allows bracing/touching as well. You'll need to search tthrough the ccar manual. In most cases iif your ccar has advanced airbags you can't brace.

Oh, good to know. It's a 2011, so it may have the advanced airbags. I will definitely check before we go out and do anything today.
