That's strange. I'm glad that everything is figured out now. I know how smurffy it is to see someone who clearly has something wrong and they can't figure out what it is.

Yea I'm so hoping she doesn't have hemophilia. But D (brother) doesn't need transfusions or anything. Just if he were to get hurt he needs fresh frozen plasma fast: his is the most rare hemophilia so there's hardly any research

Isn't it that girls don't get hemophilia? Or is it just rare? Interesting though because I didn't realize it was associated with Factor V.

No not this factor. Anybody can get it if you have both parents pass on a recessive gene. There are some factors that only boys get though.

What anti-seizure meds does she take? Many of them list bleeding and easy bruising as side effects.

topamax, ethosuxamide and lamictal... i will look it up, but she has always been like this, even when she was on other meds, like depekote and trileptol and klonopin and stuff... unless its a common thing for meds like that to cause

I'm not sure, I just looked up anti-seizure meds and noticed it listed for a few of them. Might be. But if her doctor won't listen, I would definitely take her to someone else for a second opinion.

Some medications have a side effect of bruising. Which meds is she on?
Also, my daughter used to bruise a lot. She was a clutzy but had no issues medically.
