pp salt baths

Is that ok? I read taking warm baths with sea salt in it can help heal faster, is that true? Do any of you mommas have experience with that? My dr didnt tell me anything about not taking baths so im curious as if it could affect me in any way, im 5 days pp

I used some Epsom salt. It made everything down there heal a lot better. I also took sitz baths with Epsom salt and a few cap fulls of apple cider vinegar.

I was told to take twice daily baths, with no extra soaps.
I didn't because it isn't really easy in the life of a single parent of a child with cholic.

But I was told it would be beneficial.

They told me no baths for 6 weeks, after having both of my boys.

Im so tempted to take a salt bath , but everyone says something different so im so confused

Call your doctor and ask them.

I had a nurse visit the week after DD was born and she actually recommended Epsom salt soaks to heal faster. I'm not sure if they made a difference but I had at least one a day for a couple weeks

Ok i think ill give that a try , i hope it does something, i hate walking like a penguin because i fear tearing my stitches and it hurts :/

  recovering sucks!! I had an episiotomy & hemmies (tmi lol). The soaks felt nice! She said waist deep warm water with half a cup of salt

Epsom Salt   You get it by all the first aid stuff - if you read the box it will tell you how much to use (although I just dump some in). It has a bunch of different uses, I think it helps hemmroids (spelling?) too if you get them and atheletes.
