Yes and I hope I can convince SO and the OB into getting my tubes tied. If we ever NEED another child we can adopt (which SO isn't exactly for, but whatever).

Lots of excitement in such a short period of time. I can see why it would have been stressful.

I think it was more stressful for my DH. At first I thought something was wrong and I was pushing before it was time, and DH thought I was going to die and then he was told he had to prepare to deliver the baby and he freaked out. Once I was told that everything was okay and that I was going to have the baby I was fine. I was just laying there and I asked one of the firefighters were my husband went and if he wanted to see the baby be born.

Well, I was in preterm labor from 30 weeks on and they finally let me out of the hospital at 36 weeks (July 1st) because they were going to allow me to deliver any time after that. On July 4th I woke up to my water breaking... got admitted into the hospital room like 2 minutes before I started pushing. Everybody was running to the room like crazies lol... took me 4 little pushes total and there my little Ava was

I had six days of latent labor, contractions every 5 minutes for a minute each, no sleep for three days before they broke my waters on day 6. My active labor was just over 6 hours, so it was quick as far as they go. I dialted from 3-9.5 cm in two hours, but then they had to put an epi in to stop the spontaneous pushing because that last .5cm wasn't dilating and the pushing was making it swell up and DS was getting distressed. It's NOT fun having to stay still for an epi with constant contractions and being at the spontaneous pushing stage. Once that kicked in I got to rest for almost an hour and the last bit of cervix dilated, and he came out after two hours of pushing. Unfortunately I had to deliver lying on my left side with my leg in the air because that was the only position that didn't affect his heart rate, they think he was lying on his cord, so when I moved onto my back it compressed his cord. Once he was out they gave me the shot to get the placenta out but it didn't detach and I had to have a manual removal. So it was one thing after another, and stressful as hell

He went into the hallway, he had an anxiety attack and was freaking out. He came in to see his head be born but had to leave.

My first wasn't horrible or bad I was just kinda out of it ( 10 1/2 hours , natural water birth) . My second was amazing only 4 hours wahoo!!!( another water birth) my third was great evn though it was longer at 29 hours of labor 9 active ( 10 min apart or less) and only two hard labor hours. The only bad thing about my third labor was at the d my contractions never got consistent . I would have one contraction at 4 min apart that was 1 minute long then the next would come less then a minute after that but only last 20 seconds . It was so frustrating . Not to mention some of the contractions never did the build up they just jumped right into the intense pain. I hope my fourth labor is more like my second!!

While in labor with my son I waited until I was 10 cm and got the epidural. At first, the contractions weren't too bad and then my water broke!! When I got the epidural it was smooth sailing! However, with the dose they gave me the first time, I couldn't feel enough to push so they had to tone it down some...and five min. later, he was here!!

First was stressful (long ass induction, stalled labor, almost had a c-section, etc).
Second was wonderful.
Hoping third will be great as well.
