Nope. I offer them but I don't make them sit there until they eat them. I just sneak them into their foods. They don't know they are drinking veggies when I give them green smoothies. I pick my battles when it comes to these two.

I don't make my son. He will not eat any vegetable known to man (except french fries but I don't count those) and he never has. If I try to force him he literally gags and almost throws up and his entire meal is ruined so for me, it's not worth the fight. He does get Carnation Instant Breakfast mixed in with his morning milk, a multiple vitamin and v8 Fusion juice though so I know he's at least getting some vitamins...

LO refuses to eat anything that I try to push on him. I put them on a plate, sometimes he eats them, sometimes he doesnt.

I usually have to mix them with mashed potatoes and cover them with gravy. :/

Yes, Lily must eat veggies. I do not eat meat and offered meat to her and she loves it, but if she hated it I wouldn't force it. Veggies I wont budge on though.

She must TRY everything I give her... and if she has 2 or 3 bites and doesnt like it then thats fine she doesnt have to eat it. She has to try. Lily doesnt like mushrooms in all foods but likes them made different ways so if she does dislike a food I will offer it made a different way. Like broccoli... and then broccoli tempura or it steamed. If she still doesnt like it then she doesnt have to eat it. She has to try though.

I don't make them eat anything. DH's mom would force him to eat things when he was a child, and now he won't touch them as an adult. I put it on their plates, and most of the time they eat them anyway. So far, the only things I've found that they won't eat is, they both won't eat salmon and J won't eat collard/turnip greens.

I offer them to DD and she has to eat at least some. She usually eats them all and loves them, except mushrooms and bell peppers. I have a problem getting her to eat chicken and meat though.........

I don't FORCE her to eat them.
There were times when I was a kid that unless I ate everything that was given to me I wasn't allowed to leave the table. I couldn't do that to my child. There were nights where I sat there until 10 PM slowly picking at my food until my father thought it was satisfactory.
I put them on her plate and ask her to try a bite of whatever it is she doesn't like which is only beets, peas and corn.

After the bite she can be done, she has never refused because I usually offer a reward for trying. She doesn't even have to swallow it if it is that bad in her opinion.

I do the same thing if we are having seafood, just a small bite.

Often times she will have her mind set that she doesn't like things but once she tries it she really does.

My child can eat salmon as if its going out of style.

The most comforting smell in the world to me is a toasted bagel, cream cheese, and salmon. I dont eat fish but my grandpa ate salmon on a bagel every single morning (they lived with us).
