Uhm someone tell me what this is??!~Rash pics

posted 8th Jan
So DD (16 months) is teething hardcore right now, I don't know if a rash can break out because of teething, but I had to drive her around in the car for a while today to get her to sleep, she's been very fussy, won't eat, won't go down to sleep very well....etc. But I was going to get her out of the car when I lifted up her blanket and noticed she had a rash on her feet. I took pictures, the first set are unedited, but you cannot see it as well as in real life. I edited them and darkened them so you can see it better, but in those it is not quite as bad as it looks. So you can kind of estimate how bad it really is...which of course isn't too bad but enough to kinda freak me out and wonder about an allergy. (She has no known allergies)

No, she hasn't but she has been given teething tablets quite often lately as well as childrens advil.
She had a slight fever for one day about two days ago but I thought it was because of her teething.

I can't find the pic on my PB, but it's exactly like that. She had it for a few days, she had bumps on her butt, legs, knees, arms, feet and hands. The ones on her toes and fingers turned into little blisters. It didn't bother her too much and went away on its own.

but you edited the pics right. Is hand foot mouth that light if you made the bumps darker?

So I don't need to do anything for it??

There's nothing you can do, it's a viral infection that manifests in a rash. You can get calendula ointment to soothe the rash/blisters on her body though.
I took DD to the doctor and he called it a 'nonspecific viral infection' and she was fine to go to day care, and when I took her they said straight away that it's HF&M.

IDK about HF&M but I know that my DD got bit by chiggers on her legs and the bites looked exactly like that.

My son and I had HF&M that looked just like that. It was super mild for us, didn't really bother us at all. Like PP said, there isn't really anything you can do. Feed him things to boost his immune system. Quarantining isn't generally recommended, as you're contagious for about 10 days prior to having symptoms, so chances are good anyone who's going to get it has caught it already. (But I'd still stay away from a friend's newborn or an immunocompromised grandparent, for example).

me and LO had it last july. does she have it on her hands too?

your LO is probably in a lot of pain, you get a really bad sore throat, also the rash/bumps are painful as well
