So were throwing the idea of names around and can't agree on anything, my SO suggested Madeline which I kind of like. Then today I realized its my friends daughters middle name. We aren't super close anymore talk every few months. What do you feel about this?

They don't own the name


I was going to name LO my brother middle name. It didn't bother my mom one bit.

I never understood the whole, "She has it, so now I can't use it." logic. If you like it, go for it.

If its a close friend I wouldn't. But since she's not a close friend, go for it.
If I have another girl I want to use the middle name rose. But since its my best friends middle name, and her daughters middle name, and her grandmothers middle name, I feel it's more important to her and not just a generic filler middle name! So I'd probably find something else. But I love the way it sounds with the first name I have picked out.

We still have LOTS of time, who knows if its even a girl. Its just growing on me and feels right. Idk I'm trying to think of girly girl names.

Ask your friend. If she's not okay then out of respect I wouldn't. But if she is I would
