Special Needs: What would you call this?

His teacher started a daily log of me <3
This is todays entry.
"He is still having trouble with our routines. While he seemed to have been making progress it now appears he has forgotten what he is supposed to be doing. Basic things such as Cai go throw that in the trash, to taking his plate up in the cafeteria. Even with constant verbal redirection and gestures he didn't seem "with" it today. He also had difficultly in speech with Mrs --------. He just stared right at us both almost as if he just had no clue what we were saying or asking him to do. He did do better with locating his rest mat and attempted to lay out his blankets. "
What 'problem' would you say he had? Comprehension? Awareness?

I'd say a problem with focus and attention.

My ds finds it difficult to process directions, he knows how do do things but when I ask him I have to repeat my self over and over and at times he just stares at me as though he needs reasurance or he doesnt understand what I have asked of him. My ds is having OT at the moment and I will say it is helping.
I have been told he has minor fine and gross motor skill issues.
