3 yo PT regression

Is this a normal developmental thing, or should I be looking for a "cause?" She is 38 months.

Hailey goes through phases. Sometimes she's amazing, and sometimes she has more accidents. I'm sure it's normal. They are only 3, you know?

Ya I don't mind I just didn't want to be ignoring it if it is something that is usually an indicator of a UTI or something. I've never much cared where she goes, she PT'd herself nine months ago, otherwise she'd probably still be in diapers, lol.

Mine was the same way. She decided she wanted to use the toilet an did. Sometimes she chooses not to. I don't like it, but he doesn't get punished. I'm pretty sure we'll have a pretty big regression when baby comes, anyway.

And I'm only saying I think it's normal because mine, (37 months) is doing the same thing.

From what I've read, it's completely normal. To the point where you shouldn't even really consider it regression, it's just one more step towards potty independence.

Ya, around 21 months she started showing an interest and using the potty regularly but I never took her out of diapers because I was pregnant and figured it'd be pointless cuz she'd stop when the baby was born. She started again a month after he was born and was out of diapers within a couple days and a couple weeks for nighttime.

I don't ever mind but in public it is sad cuz we have to stop what we are doing, go back to the car, change, come back. It's a drag.

Good to know, thanks. Potty independence. She has recently started going all by herself instead of me coming with her. Maybe that is part of it, just a new stage.
