Water breaking poll

posted 8th Jan
I'm just wondering how many of you had your water break on its own naturally or if the doctor/nurse had to break it for you.

I'm due friday so it's just on my mind that it could happen at any time

My labor started first. It broke on its own, but after I was admitted.

Doctor broke my water. But I was induced for medical reasons. They said I didn't need cervidil and just went right to breaking my water and giving me oxytocin

In my three vaginal deliveries my water has never broken without the dr, and my first two were born within minutes of rupture. My third was nearly born in the sac but dr ruptured it as his head was partially out.

Thanks everyone! I'm really nervous it's going to happen in public or something! My SIL (who works at the airport) told me the other day that some lady was picking her mom up at the airport and her water broke right there in front of everyone. Talk about good timing for your mom to come! Lol.

With my first I was induced early at 37 weeks because of severe pre-e...and they broke my water..instant worst contractions ever.

With my second I was induced at 40 weeks with just the lowest amount of pitocin and an hour and a half later my water broke on its own. It scared the smurf out of me because I was half asleep and wasn't sure what that loud noise/feeling was LOL. Again..lots of pain, but not as instant as the first time around.

With my first I was in labor all day the day after my due date.. I had to wait for my contractions to get closer together before I could go in, and around 1am I had a strong contraction and felt a pop and my water broke.
