Walking and sex.

It'll happen when it happens though.

Walking. Sex.

But those won't work unless baby is ready.

Nothing will induce labor. You can try everything people will tell you, but nothing will work.
I would suggest resting, sleeping, and relaxing. You won't be doing much of that for the next 18 years.

Even walking and sex won't bring on labor. The semen will ripen your cervix, the same as EPO. Ripening your cervix doesn't bring on labor, though, just ease labor once it's started. Walking, while a great exercise, won't bring induce labor either. It's said to speed up labor once it's started, though!

Walking, sex and squats can help prime your body for the big day.

Pretty much EVERYTHING is to help labor keep going when it's already happening. Like orgasms, walking etc.

OP: You can bounce on a ball and walk and stuff, it might help you dilate if your baby is already engaged. If you are dilated it's just less work you have to do when you are in labor. But all of that won't START labor, that's just something your body does on it's own when it's time.

Sex, walking, spicy food, pineapple, bouncing on a workout ball. None of these work, BUT it won't hurt you or baby either. Ignore the negativity these posts bring, it seems that most people on here forget what it's like to be pregnant and miserable.

Smurf, you're only 37 weeks! Let that baby bake a little longer!

Why is everyone in such a rush to empty their wombs these days? I totally understand being over the pregnancy thing, but come the smurf on...

no it won't hurt her or her baby, because it won't work. If it did work it WOULD hurt the baby if it was too early.
We are just telling her that nothing will START labor. All of that only speeds things along when you are already IN labor.

And no one had forgotten how miserable pregnancy is. The rest of us just know it's a 40+ week deal and we DEAL WITH IT.

Many of us know and remember all too well how miserable the end of pregnancy can be. We just have enough sense to not get the ball rolling 3 weeks before our due dates. What if her dates are off she's actually only 35 weeks? What if baby just isn't ready to come yet and has breathing and suckling problems? The baby's body goes through so many refinements in the last few weeks...
