Personal loans through a bank.

Do all banks do personal loans? I'm looking at my banks website and the only loans I'm seeing are for mortgage, cars, something about equity.

I'm going up there in a few, but don't want to waste the drive if they don't do personal loans. So? It'll be for $500 (if I can even get approved) and will be going towards my car deductible, since I don't have $500 at the moment.

My bank gave me $2,500 but they did want to know what I was using it for and they took two days to decide. I was freshly 18, though

Well, that makes me happy that they'll actually listen to the reason I need it. I tried going to the repair shop and asking to do a payment plan, but the bitch wouldn't even let me explain.  


The only thing I'm scared about is credit. I do have bad credit... I think low 500s. Because of medical bills that racked up when I was 18 and not working. But I've been paying all of my bills on time for about the last year. I just know those medical bills are KILLING my credit

Credit union will definitely be my second option. I know they're a lot easier to get loans through.

I found that the credit unions were a lot tougher to get one through. I use harrison financial, They are really easy. Don't know if you have one around though.

The city I work in is actually called Harrison   But no, I use First Financial.

I think all banks do... I could totally be wrong though.
I do know some banks have a minimum that they will give though. I think the minimum loan for my bank is $1000.....but I think your credit has to be AT LEAST 700. It wouldn't hurt to try though. Hopefully they'll do it for you!

Yeah, it has to be at least 700 :/ Mine went up to 581, it was like 530. But still not good enough. So, no loan or CC for me.


What she told me I could do, though. Is Saturday when I get paid... write a check for $500 and give it to the repair shop. It'll take my cash out of my bank account, then overdraw me like $200. She said they have something like a forgiveness loan. It's for when people are so far overdrawn, and can't catch up because of the penalties piling on. So... if I overdraw $200, the loan will be for $200 and will put my account back at $0. Then I'll have to pay monthly for the $200 loan. Which I can pay off in 2 paychecks.

That's if I have no other resort... because I'd really like to have my car before Saturday.

I would say go to a payday loan place....buuuuut those are a bitch to get out of and they screw you over. I'd rather over draw than to get into that mess again. :/ lol
