Graco snug ride bases

posted 8th Jan
Do all the models of snug rides use the same base or do they all have their own specific base?

I'm just planning ahead in case dd2 is in the 4 lb range because our snugide is older (expiring in dec) so its just the old basic ones. But the min limit is 5 lbs. so if she's under that I have to run to the store and grab a 4 lb one. Gah not another $150 I wanted to spend. But of course I'll do it if it means taking my baby home

LO1 was discharged at 4lb 13 oz and i think our seat was 5 pounds. but, they had him take a car seat test anyhow, it was an hour long simulator.

You should ask if the hospital has loaner car beds. I was reading another topic on here and some of the moms said that the hospital loaned out the car beds til the baby reached 5 lbs.

I know. I just wanted to see if we'd be able to use the base we have with a new seat.

Are the labels still readable? Something o. There should maybe give you some indication.
Does the base have a red dial on it to adjust the angle, or is it just a recline foot that you have to press two buttons in and pull down? If it doesn't have the knob then its a basic snug ride base and will work for the 22lb models.

If you do end up having to buy a new seat, Cosco has a 4lb infant seat for like $60
