I got a deal on my radian because I got the SKJP version. As they were clearancing them out right after the name change

Oh I bet. SO used to live in southgate. I'm not really sure how far that is from you. I'm not super familiar with "downstate" as we call the Detroit area haha.

Its really personal preference. The rxt also has the pretty fabric prints where the other version are pretty plain.

If I were buying one again I'd probably ho for one without head wings. There was a period of time where dd was in an in between height stage and when shed fall asleep, if her head slumped it'd get stuck under the wings. That only lasted a few weeks though.

Both versions are side impact tested so like I said its really just preference

Lol! Downstate is a good name for Detroit.   Southgate isn't too far from here, but not close either.  

Also, I just got the Diono Radian RXT and I love it so far!   DS is 9 months old and about 20lbs and he fits in it awesome!

Buy Buy Baby. We had Bed Bath and Beyond giftcards (you can use them there too) and they take the Bed Bath and Beyond 20% off coupons. It was 270 I think with the coupon and we had 200 in gift cards saved up.

Lol!   I was going to buy online but I wanted to look at the manufacturer date (i'm weird like that) and the one I bought in December was manufactured in November. I'm so weird, but I figured I could use it longer. lol.
