Are you a vegetarian?

posted 8th Jan
Why?

What are your favorite meals to make?

Do you have to make separate meals for your hubby/kids?

Yes.

Because I'm all for animal rights and meat just freaks me out.

We do alot of stir frys, salads etc. I still make meals that would require meat but just don't put it in there. Like veggi fajitas, chilli.

I am for religious reasons. Look up Jain diet to see what we eat. It's more restrictive than just veg.

DH claims he doesn't feel full after any meal that doesn't have meat in it, but I know my son would be down to eat vegetarian with me...

I'm sure he would have to train his body. Meat is very heavy. When I cook for family or friends I always cook meat. I just sit aside some without meat for me.

I make alot of lasana rolls. I do a pan without meat and a pan with.

I usually just substitute meat with vegetarian meat. Or make different pastas, tacos/enchiladas with beans instead of meat, etc.

I'm pescatarian, but also only eat kosher food. So for meatall I eat is anything from the sea that has scales and fins.

Why? It's just better for my body. I feel so much better.

I love stir fry's. My fave easy thing to make is and eggplant wrap. I use a whole grain tortilla, bake the eggplant and some red peppers. Put some hummus on the tortilla along with feta cheese then add eggplant and peppers. It's sooooo good. And yes, I make seperate meals. But lately I've been working nights so I do t cook

i would probably be a pescetarian as well. And I'd be doing it for the same reason as you, it's just good for my body. I'm watching Forks Over Knives on netflix right now and it's totally firming my thoughts on this..

I make all sorts of things with ww tortillas, but I hadn't thought of eggplant and hummus. I may try that.

I was a few years ago.
I would eat stir fry, pasta, salads, pizza, lots and lots of fruits and veggies. I would eat some of the faux meat foods, and even made my own.
When I was a vegetarian, my son was also. I made one meal for the two of us.

I am a pescitarian but only because meat grosses me out. I'm not an animal rights activist or anything like that.

Basically I eat everything I used to, but cut out the meat. Never was a fan of burgers or steaks or any of that smurf so it wasn't an issue for me. But if there were chicken Caesar salads on the menu then I'd get it -chicken. If I had lasagna, I'd get it -the meat. If I had lettuce wraps i got it with tofu.

I didn't really have a hard time transitioning mainly because I think meat is disgusting. I hated when I'd be eating chicken and bite into a piece of cartelidge or be eating a hamburger and bite into a piece of bone or something. Ick.

I recently switched to vegan and THAT has been hard because I love cheese and milk products. >.<
