At what age...

do they usually start to keep their binkies in their mouth?


DS uses a soothie, like the one from the hospital, and he loves it. But he always spits the dang thing out and doesn't have the coordination to put it back in yet, even though he will hold it in his mouth when he gets his hand in the right spot.

In my experience it varies with each child. Some never will really take on and hold it for long and some latch right on, others take time. MY 6 month old nephew just started taking one regularly but my now 11 y/o DD never would take one for very long.

My DD is almost 3 weeks and will keep it in her mouth until she doesn't want it anymore.. then she will spit it out. I watch her push it out with her tongue lol.

This! We put the blanket just infront of her binkie so when she spits it out it's there for her when she wants it, and sometimes we've ssen her stick her tounge out and lick it back into her mouth like a cat would drink water kind of haha!

Mine never figured them out! After 3 or 4 months I stopped trying because they could get their hands in their mouths.
